Originally, the game was going to be dating sim-ish, and we advertised it as such for a while (mainly because people know that term better than "visual novel"), but when we actually begun to work on it, it became a pure Visual Novel.

The only r34 there was possibly going to be was in a small scene at the very end of the game if you successfully romanced somepony. Some members of the original team were all for adding it, but there were a few who were against it. Over time, old members of the team began to leave and new members joined. Many new members opposed the idea of having r34 and soon it was decided to discard the idea.

Even though this idea is scrapped, almost nothing has changed for the game. Love is Magic was never meant to be a porn game, but a dating and relationship experience with the members of the MLP universe and an intriguing storyline. We have not strayed from that. We will still have intimate and romantic scenes, but they will not be outright pornographic in nature. We don't really know how saucy/intimate those scenes will be (at least cuddles and kisses are confirmed), but we'll see later. We don't think that we have strayed from our original goal as long as we still have those romantic and intimate scenes, since romance is what the game is all about.

We want to stress yet again that this is a Visual Novel, and we're going to keep it classy. We're absolutely not saying that explicit sex would necessarily make it any less classy, but this was never going to be some porn filled Dating Sim.

We are very sorry for this confusion and any inconveniences it may have caused. We know that many of you were disappointed by the announcement, but we hope that you understand why things turned out like they did now. We also hope that you will still be able to enjoy the game, and that seems to be the case with most people. Some, however, were very disappointed as their expectations were let down and lost interest in the game completely. If you have donated to us and feel like you have been mislead, please contact us and we will give you a full refund.

It was originally our plan from the very beginning, which was a while ago, but we can now 100% confirm that we will not do any such thing. Intimate and romantic moments are still planned, but they will not be pornographic in nature.

We also plan on sending it to our donators for beta testing after the con do that we can make improvements and fix issues for the full, final demo that will relatively soon be released to the public.

Rachel, one of the original founders of the group, has decided to leave.
Her personal life has really gotten tough on her, so she feels that she cant help us any longer.
She is still a brony  though, and wishes us the best of luck!
And luckily, we have someone who can fill her shoes.  TB-Colgate FiM, or Toby for short.

We are working super hard on the game, and the demo is being worked on by a very dedicated group.  Plus, the new artists are fantastic.  You will love the finished product. Once again, the demo should be released sometime in December or January.

That's because we were getting almost no new answers, so the results wouldn't change much, and we kinda already decided that we would have Big Mac and Soarin. But here's the full results, if anypony is interested:

75.63% - Big Macintosh
72.55% - Soarin
63.32% - Braeburn
53.34% - Caramel
33.27% - Hoity Toity
31.79% - Spike
31.42% - Steven Magnet
26.35% - Prince Blueblood

The results have been pretty much like this since the first day, and as I said, we've decided to include Big Mac and Soarin. We can't please everypony, but we're trying to please as many as possible. Still, if you have complaints (or anything else), just leave a comment.
